Grover Norquist, possibly the busiest Republican
wheeler dealer in Washington, has been a leader in the
coalition of conservatives and liberals opposed to
the Patriot Act from the very beginning. Norquist is
on the board of the National Rifle Association, has
lobbied for any number of clients including Microsoft,
and is up to his ears in conservative Republican
politics. Most recently a Senate investigtion said
Norquist used his taxpayer outfit as a conduit for
lobbyist Jack Abramoff's creepy deals, in this case,
funneling dough to former Christian Coalition leader
Ralph Reed's lobby operation.Reed currently is running
for lieutennt governor of Georgia in a July GOP primary.
